I hope they decide to put bailey on an actual scoring line. I have never understood why they bring these young guys up and then throw them on the fourth line with the likes of Grant (3 assists in 31 games) and Deslauriers and then wonder why they don't produce. Drives me nuts. I read on the other "bloggers" page about how we are apparently trading offense for a top 4 dman because we apparently have a plethora of scoring and a major lack of defense and again my mind is blown. In what world do we have offense?! Our goals against isn't actually that bad...mid pack I believe. But our goals for is attrocious. He states we have a wealth of offense in the minors just ready to jump in. Well maybe. But whenever we bring them up we don't put them in positions to succeed. I would love to see baptiste out there with jack. Or nylander given a shot with jack or Kyle. See what we actually got. At this point...why not. Going with the status quo is not working. Moulson and Zegmus are not getting it done. Let's shake things up.

Alumni game at noon on nhln. These games are amazing. They really need to start an old guys league with like a 16 game schedule.

Just finished back reading,

Is it possible to have a rational analysis of the Pysyk for Kulikov trade? Everyone complaining about tha deal seems to have these rose colored memories of Pysyk while forgetting Kulikov has probably not played one single game at 100% yet this season. But even a pre-season analysis of this trade shows two players nearly the same age (Kulikov a little more than a year older), one has played only 125 games for a not so good team and never in the playoffs (Pysyk) who has bounced back and forth between the NHL and AHL ever since he made the leap from juniors. Kulikov on the other hand has played 460 nhl games, not a single game in the minors, for a slightly better team (two playoff appearances in last 5 yrs) with which he has playoff experience. How did Buffalo not get the better player in that transaction? We also acquired a player we did not have to protect along with improved draft position.

Can't lose this game. 3-2 win in shootout. Grant and D-lo in regulation, Lehner stops 10 shoot out attempts in a row as Jack scores a beauty in the 10th round. When asked post game why Jack didn't shoot earlier, Bylsma says it was for disciplinary reasons because Jack was yelling at everybody and being a big meanie.

Because literally nothing you said has any analysis attached.

That's like saying Matt Moulson has scored goals and played playoff games previously, so why would we trade him for a younger player who hasn't?

You're right, I guess your super powered brain just missed all the facts in the post and the question mark at the end of the sentence asking how did Buffalo not get the better player. I posted it for a more honest appraisal of the trade from people on here. If it was simply because Murray didn't like him, that's fine. I just find it hard to believe that was the only factor.

sbroads, your example is just stupid. Kuli and Pysyk are essentially the same age. Go back to the kids table.

Ah, ok. Want a better example?

Tyler Myers and Drew Stafford have played in playoff games, why trade them for Kane and Bogosian who havent?

That better?
